Austin is tucking in Will. He is talking about how he hopes that Sami is doing the right thing by marrying Franco as he still isn't so sure about him. At the pub, Marlena and Sami talk. Sami seems sincere when she apologizes to Marlena for all of the trouble that she has caused. She asks Marlena if she can ever forgive her for being such a brat. Marlena says she did that a long time ago.
Roman gets off the phone and tells John and Billie about his phone call with Shane. It seems that an ISA agent was killed this evening. Sami and Franco finish up their good byes and as they leave, Sami says "Just think, next time you all see me, I'll be a bride!" Marlena joins the others and Roman reveals that the agent that was killed was thrown from a train. Marlena questions Billie about why she was helping Roman in his ISA assignment. Billie tells her that she and Roman just happened to run into each other in Paris and decided to work on this together. She says that she was trying to get over Bo and that Roman was getting over losing her. She says that they plan on finishing up what they started. After Billie walks off, John and Marlena wonder about their relationship. They think there is more to it than they are being told. Later, when John finds out the train was headed to Count Olenska's art festival, he gets upset because he figures out that it is the Empress Express and is the same train that Hope and Ms. Faversham is on. He says that Hope could be in grave danger. This news seems to excite Billie somewhat.
Hope and Ms. Faversham are in the royal dining car. Stefano and Vivian also enter, They don't see Hope when they pass by because a man steps out of their way and is in front of Hope. They are seated a few tables back, but there are plants between the tables, so they never see her. Vivian sees someone she knows and excuses herself to go see if it's really her. While she is gone, Stefano and this man catch each other's eye and both step outside the car. We learn that this guy has worked with Stefano in the past. There is some object that Stefano wants to add to his collection, but this man warns him that it is too dangerous. They talk about how easy it was when Stefano had Gina as his cover . The man says that the risks are too high now and talks about how much easier it would be if they had Gina to help them.
Back at Hope's table, a man comes up and Ms. Faversham introduces him as Charles Cayhill , III. He talks about the good times they had and invites them to his estate to go hot air ballooning, and for parties, etc. Ms. Faversham accepts, of course. After he leaves, she talks about how "Gina" was an expert at baccarat and tells of some of their adventures
Vivian returns and sees a couple, whom she identifies as Prince and Princess Weatherly and talks about her necklace. It is called the "emerald eye" and she says she has envied it for years. We learn that THIS is the latest object that Stefano wants to add to his collection. They decide to go to the gaming car and try their luck, but first Vivian decides to go back to their room and get something for motion sickness, for she isn't feeling very well. Hope and Ms. Faversham also decide to go to the gaming car, so Hope can try her hand at baccarat Hope is terribly excited about their trip and is sure she will get the answers that she so seeks.
Kate has been patting herself on the back for her wonderful idea...she is sure this will work. We find out she is outside of Abe's office, while Abe has Roberto inside questioning him about the shooting. Roberto tells Abe nothing, who in turn goes and tells Kate. Abe tells Kate that they are going to release him, but Roberto doesn't know that yet. Abe is called away and Kate sashays into his office and confronts Roberto. She tells him that they are going to charge him with obstruction of justice and that they are drawing up the papers right now. She offers to help him by giving him an alibi if he talks to her...if not, he can rot in jail.
Roberto spills his guts to her and tells her about the Moroni Family being after Franco. She continues to question him and he breaks down and tells her of his involvement. When he gets through, she goes to the door and flings it open and tells him to leave. She lets him know that the police had NOTHING on him at all and he is furious. He wants to know why she hates Franco so much. She informs him that it is Sami...and she plans to destroy her.
Sami wants him to spend the night with her, but he has Candy on his mind and tries to get away from her clinging arms. She goes up to check on Will and Austin questions Franco yet again. Franco assures him that he is in love with Sami and only wants to be friends with Austin. He says that maybe since they will be married to sisters, maybe they can work to bring Sami and Carrie together and the family would appreciate. Austin goes to check on Will .
Franco takes the opportunity to call Candy, but before he can tell her he can't come, is caught by Sami. He hangs up and tells Sami he was talking to Roberto. Sami insists that he call him back and invite him to the wedding. Franco lies and says Roberto would be too embarrassed after what happened earlier. Later, Franco is upstairs and Austin comes up and tells Franco that he DOES want to be friends with him. After Austin leaves, Franco calls Candy and informs her that he can't make it tonight, but will meet her tomorrow at their same place.
Downstairs, Kate shows up and is hit by a frontal attack by Sami. She asks Kate where she had been and if it wasn't past her bedtime. Sami keeps digging and asks Kate that if she had to meet up with a trick, or has she lowered herself to walking the streets...you know...once a hooker, always a hooker. She tells Kate of her plane to move away from her disgusting influence and her drunkard son as soon as she is married and reminds Kate that SHE is the one in charge here! Kate says, "No, I won't forget" and Sami flits off. Kate (to herself) says "enjoy yourself Sami, because tomorrow you lose EVERYTHING...I have the information to bring you DOWN!!!"
Eric gives Nicole a surprise. The surprise is a charm necklace, which she loves. Nicole is touched and tells Eric that nobody has ever done something like this for her. Eric thought that she was showered with gifts and attention while growing up. Nicole tells Eric that he has the wrong idea about the life that she lived growing up. Nicole says that nobody paid attention to her while she was growing up and nobody made her feel special. Nicole tells Eric that her dad left when she was young and her mom had time for everything except her. She goes on to say that she spent most of her time alone wishing for a mom and dad who loved her. Nicole says she thought she put those feelings behind her, but seeing his family made her realize how much she missed out on. Nicole says she had nobody for her. Eric says that maybe her family will see her now that she's a famous model, but Nicole says she doesn't want to see any of her family members ever again. Eric tells Nicole that he admires her even more knowing what she's over come to get where she is now. After he's gone, Nicole looks at the letters and tells them that there is no room in her life for him anymore.
In prison, the mystery man tells Jay to go to Salem and find Nikki. His parole hearing is coming up and the only way he'll get out is if Nikki pays the bill for a lawyer. The man asks Jay to go easy on her, he doesn't want to screw up her job because modeling has always been a dream of hers, plus he'd like to cash in. He also tells Jay that he wants to know if Nikki is doing anything he wouldn't like her to be doing. Jay tells the man that when Nikki was in LA, she was with a guy who had it bad for her. The man in prison says he doesn't like this at all. The man asks Jay to find out if the guy is making moves on Nikki, and if he is, then he knows what to do.
Mike and Ali are on their romantic date at the Penthouse Grill. Nancy and Craig show up and Craig can't keep his eyes off Ali. Nancy accuses Craig of having the hots for Ali, but Craig says that she's attractive, but he already has the woman he wants. Nancy tells Craig that what they need to do is make Carrie think that Ali is going after Mike because Carrie will object to their dating because it will drive her insanely jealous.
Mike asks Ali if they can try to keep their relationship at the hospital strictly professional. Ali asks that if someone has said something to him, but he lies and says no, they just shouldn't display their feelings for each other at work. Ali agrees, as long as they can display their feelings for each other in private. Ali kisses Mike and then excuses herself. Nancy follows Ali into the bathroom and starts talking to her about Mike. Nancy tells Ali that she should make her feelings known to Mike, because she thinks Mike would reciprocate them. Later, Ali kisses Mike on dance floor.
Marlena shows up at the hospital to talk with Carrie. Marlena senses that something is bothering Carrie, maybe tension between her and Austin. Carrie says it is because of Sami, but Marlena doesn't believe that.. She brings up the amount of time she spends at work. Carrie says that work is the only thing going right in her life. Marlena tells Carrie that she may be fooling herself about her relationship with Mike, but she's not fooling her. Carrie says that she can handle working with Mike and that nothing has happened since the barbecue. Marlena says she was afraid she'd find her working with Mike tonight, but Carrie says he's out on a date.
Carrie starts talking about Ali and Mike and it could be damaging to the hospital's reputation. Marlena tells Carrie that she sounds like she's jealous of Ali. Carrie says she isn't jealous, she just thinks Ali isn't the right woman for Mike. Marlena tells Carrie that she is not Mike's personal protector, and if she continues to act like it, it will backfire. Carrie says that she's already made her feelings known to Mike, and she can't stop doing it. Carrie says she loves Austin and her marriage means everything to her. Marlena knows that, but she says she also has feelings for Mike that she must put aside. Carrie begins to cry and says she doesn't know how to push her feelings for him aside.
Hope and Ms. Faversham decide to go to the gaming car. Hope plays a game of baccarat very well, which puzzles Hope because she doesn't even know how to play! Ms. Faversham tells "Princess Gina" that it's so wonderful to have her back and Hope says it's wonderful to be back.
Vivian tells Stefano that she's not feeling well and decides to retire for the evening. Stefano decides to use the device, despite Dr Rolf's insistence that he not over use it. Ivan begs Vivian to get off at the next stop and see a doctor. Vivian says she just needs to sleep, but Stefano pushes the up button and Vivian asks Rudolpho to joining her in the gaming car.
Stefano sees a crowd gathered at a table and learns from another man that a beautiful woman is playing an excellent game of baccarat. Stefano says baccarat is his game and maybe he should try playing the lady. However, Stefano sees some one he wants to talk to. Stefano talks with the man who he was talking with earlier about getting the Emerald Eye. The man tells Stefano about a painting for sale and says that he can arrange a meeting for him about purchasing it. Ivan, Celeste, and Lucille show up at the gaming car. Lucille tells Celeste about Ms. Faversham and how Princess Gina is ruining their relationship.
Vivian ends up gambling a ton of money away. Stefano realizes he has to get her under control and puts her in a normal mood. Vivian can't believe she's been so careless with her money. Ivan and Celeste become concerned for Vivian and take her back to her car. Stefano damns them for interfering in his plans.
Carrie approaches Mike and tells him that she needs to talk to him. Mike and Carrie go out to the terrace and she tells Mike that she knows why she had a strong reaction to him dating Ali. Carrie tells Mike that she's jealous and can't stand seeing him with another woman. Mike asks what she is saying and Carrie tells him that he knows what she's saying. Mike says he's waited for this moment for a long time, and then they kiss.
Of course it was all a dream and Carrie wakes up to find Austin has made her breakfast, it's their anniversary. Carrie tells Austin that he's so good to her and she doesn't deserve it. Austin tells Carrie that he loves her so much and doesn't want anything to ruin their anniversary. Carrie and Austin have gifts to exchange, but Austin says they should wait until after Sami's wedding when they can be alone together. Austin tells Carrie that it's been a long time since they last made love. Austin then tells Carrie that there is something he wants to talk about, his boxing. Austin says that his old trainer wants him to box for a charity event for the hospital, but Carrie says it's just a ploy to lure him back in. Austin assures her it's just a one-time thing. Carrie says she'll think about it and Austin leaves to check on Will.
Eric and Roman are discussing Roman's doubts about Sami. Eric says Sami is a grown woman who has changed a lot. Roman comments that maybe he'll be the one to marry next, but he knows he's not been a fan of marriage. Eric says that he's rethinking his feelings about marriage now that he's made progress with Nicole. Roman asks if he's thinking about marrying Nicole? Eric says that he just thinks maybe some day he'd like to take the plunge. Roman asks Eric to go slow because he doesn't know Nicole very well, but Eric tells Roman that Nicole opened up to him about her past last night. Roman warns Eric that Nicole sounds like a person with a lot of baggage and he has no idea what else she may be keeping from her. Eric tells his dad that Nicole is starting to be honest with him and they are growing close
Nicole is thinking about the necklace that Eric gave her. Taylor shows up because Nicole asked to see her. Nicole tells Taylor that she's cashing her paycheck and wants her to give the money to their mom. Taylor tells Nicole that they don't need her damn money! Outside the lab, Jay listens in on their conversation. Taylor says they are doing fine with their own jobs, but Nicole knows that they need the money.
Taylor says she refuses to take it from someone who won't even acknowledge her own family, but Nicole tells her to just take the money. When Taylor mentions Eric, Nicole warns Taylor to stay away from Eric because she doesn't want her past to come back to haunt her. Nicole storms off and Jay says her past is about to come back and haunt her. Eric shows up at Titan and runs into Taylor, but Nicole shows up and Taylor decides to leave. Nicole thanks Eric once again for the necklace he gave her.
Lucas wakes up in his car, which is in the middle of a forest. His head is hurting because he has a major hangover. Suddenly, Lucas hears sirens and panics. Lucky for Lucas, it was an ambulance that was just going by. Lucas chuckles that he's going to take Will someplace today where nobody will find them. Lucas realizes he can't use his own car, so he'll have to rent his one. Lucas picks up some phony passports for himself and Will and then rents a car. Lucas realizes that he missed an AA meeting and hopes Maggie doesn't find out.
Franco sneaks out of bed to go meet Candy. As he is about to leave, Sami catches him and asks where he's going. Franco says he was leaving because it's bad luck for them to see one another. Sami wants to make love, but Franco says they both have so much to do before the wedding. Franco eventually convinces Sami to let him leave, but he's caught leaving by Austin. When Austin goes back to his room, Carrie is dressed and has to leave for work. Carrie runs into Sami in the hallway and they start arguing. Sami asks Carrie to at least pretend to be happy and Carrie says she is happy that she won't have to live in the same house with her and she's happy that she's Franco's problem now.
Kate plots her revenge on Sami by turning her wedding into a nightmare. As Kate plots out loud, Billie walks into the room and asks her mom if she's crazy! Kate asks what she's talking about? Billie says she can't believe all the stuff Kate has bought for Sami's wedding today. Kate tells Billie that after today, she'll have her life back and be rid of Sami.
Maggie suddenly calls Kate and tells her that Lucas has skipped his AA meetings and has suddenly vanished. Later, Carrie runs into Kate as she is leaving for work. Kate tells Carrie that Sami will get what she deserves at her wedding. Franco leaves to "pack for his honeymoon," so he tells Kate and Billie. Franco calls Candy and an angry Austin overhears his conversation.
Carrie runs into Mike at the hospital and apologizes for butting into her love life with Ali. Mike tells her it's okay and he could never be mad at her. Mike asks how things are with Austin? Carrie says today is their anniversary. Mike realizes something is wrong and Carrie tells Mike about Austin's desire to box again. Mike tells Carrie that maybe she should let him follow his dreams. Carrie hopes it won't be a problem and Mike tells her as long as he trusts in their love it shouldn't be.
Mike leaves to see a patient and Carrie talks with Ali, who is glowing about her relationship with Mike. Carrie says she didn't realize they were so serious and Ali says that she and Mike agreed to be formal at work during the day, but not at night! Later, Carrie tells Mike she's remembering what Mike said to her a year ago before she married Austin. Mike remembers telling Carrie not to rush into a marriage, but he says that it seems she and Austin made it. Mike is beeped away and Carrie wonders what if she hadn't married Austin. Carrie tells herself she has to stop this line of thinking because she vowed to love Austin forever.
Lucas returns to Alice's place and tells Gran and Maggie that he fell asleep at Titan. Alice tells Lucas to call his mom and let her know that he's all right. Lucas calls her and Kate tells Lucas that she's taking steps to ensure his future with Will. They say there I love you's and hang up. Afterwards, Maggie tells Lucas that she knows what he's up to and he won't get away with it. Lucas plays innocent, but Maggie says that she knows the signs of a hangover. Lucas says he wasn't drinking last night. Maggie suggests they go to an AA meeting together, but Lucas says he has to go out of town for business. Alice asks where he is going and for how long. Lucas says he's taking a trip abroad and he hopes by time that he returns he'll be able to see Will again. Lucas leaves to pack and Maggie tells Alice that something is not right, and Alice agrees.
At Salem Place, Dr. Rolf gets a call from Stefano. Rolf tells Stefano everything is going fine in Salem, and people are getting ready for Sami's wedding. He also tells Stefano he is watching John Black right now. Stefano cautions him to be careful that John doesn't recognize him from the jungle compound. Rolf asks how it's going with Vivian, and Stefano says he hasn't been able to get her to sign over power of attorney yet. Rolf warns Stefano again that overusing the mood control device could kill Vivian. Stefano promises to be careful.
John calls Hope, who is on the Empress Express, which is stopped in Milan. She tells him excitedly about her success at the baccarat tables. She says that either Stefano implanted her ability, or she really is Princess Gina. John reminds her that her identity as Hope was proved beyond a shadow of a doubt long ago. Hope asks if anyone has heard from Bo, and John says no, but Bo can take care of himself. He warns Hope that Roman heard the Empress Express was being targeted by the smuggling ring, so she should keep an eye out on Ms. Faversham.
On the Empress Express, after hanging up with John, Hope is joined by Ms. Faversham, who tells her that everyone on the train remembers her as Princess Gina. Hope says her heart still belongs to Bo, and Ms. Faversham asks her why she can't sense where he is. Hope asks if anyone who knew Princess Gina more than casually is on the train; Ms. Faversham says that she heard Rudolfo Marati is on the train. She describes him to Hope and promises to introduce them. In Stefano's compartment, Celeste walks in while Stefano is on the phone with Rolf. He hangs up quickly and asks after Vivian. Celeste says Ivan is with her and she shouldn't be disturbed. Celeste goes to another car, where Lucille is sitting. They chat about how they are both concerned about their employers. Suddenly, Celeste spies Hope and tells Lucille that she knows that woman. Before Celeste can warn Hope that Stefano is on the train, Stefano strides into the car in the direction of Hope and Ms. Faversham.
In the bayou, the Swamp Girl brushes out her hair with an exquisite brush, which appears to belong to the collection that Hope had in her possession that Ms. Faversham had given to Princess Gina. Her hair is now short and straight, a lot like Hope's. Bo has a dream about being with Hope, and wakes up to go looking for the Swamp Girl. She is startled when he comes in the room before she is ready, but he reminds her he can't see her anyway. She offers to shave him, which brings back more memories of Hope. When she's done, she asks Bo to dress in a formal suit, and he finds the champagne, crackers, and pate in the other room for a celebration. Swamp Girl emerges finally in a pretty dress and Bo tells her he's sure she must look beautiful. They begin to dance.
In Salem, Austin is appalled to hear obvious sounds of lovemaking at Franco and Candy's hotel suite. He leaves to go tell Sami what he saw. Meanwhile, Franco calls Roberto and arranges for him to buy plane tickets to Hawaii for himself and Candy, so that he can see Candy while he is on his honeymoon with Sami. Franco overhears Roberto talking to Kate on the phone and is suspicious, but Franco says that he was just arranging to send a wedding gift.
At Marlena's penthouse, the beautician arrives to do Marlena, Sami, and Nicole's hair and makeup. They go over to the Kiriakis mansion, where everything is being prepared for the wedding. Meanwhile, Lucas slips upstairs, disguised as one of the florists, and prepares to take Will away, but before he can go into the room, he hears Austin coming up the stairs. Austin spends some time with Will. When he leaves, Lucas slips into the room, but hears Austin talking to Marlena in the hall. Lucas waits until he hears both of them leave and then prepares to take Will, but the nanny comes in to get Will ready for the wedding before he can do anything. Lucas hides in the closet.
Roman tells Kate he thinks she is doing all this for Sami to make amends for hiring Franco to break up Bo and Hope. Kate tells him she is doing it for Sami's happiness, but Roman doesn't buy it for a minute. Eric notices that Roman still has serious reservations about Franco, but Eric assures Roman that Franco is a good guy and he really loves Sami. Sami comes in and thanks everyone for supporting her, especially her dad. Nicole whisks her off to the guesthouse to change into their gowns. Austin comes downstairs and knocks on the guesthouse door. Nicole lets him in to talk to Sami. He sees her standing there, radiant, in her wedding gown, and Austin almost can't bear what he has to say to her, but he tells her that there is something she needs to know about Franco.
On the Empress Express, Celeste distracts Stefano from walking to Hope's part of the train. She tells him to go check on Vivian. Ivan protests strenuously, but Celeste says she is going to get off the train to do some shopping and makes Ivan come with her. When they are off the train, Celeste tells Ivan that Hope is aboard and they need to find her and warn her about Stefano. Hope, meanwhile, has left the train to get Ms. Faversham's medicine, and Ivan and Celeste can't find her. Stefano plots to have them delayed so that they can't get back on the train and he can have Vivian to himself. Hope returns just before the train leaves and is stopped by a man she remembers from her days as Gina. Without thinking, she identifies him, and when he leaves, she is stunned to realize that she actually remembered someone from her past as Gina. More and more, she is starting to believe she actually is Gina. Meanwhile, as Ivan and Celeste are about to re-board, someone attempts to snatch Celeste's shopping bags. The train officials escort everyone away to straighten out the problem, while Stefano watches gloatingly as the train prepares to leave without them.
In the bayou, Bo and Swamp Girl are dancing. Bo tells her how well she dances, and she says it must be all those years of ballet and modern dancing she took. Bo is startled, because he remembers that Hope spent years studying the same areas of dance. Bo has memories of Hope wearing a dress that looks like the one Swamp Girl describes she is wearing. While they are dancing, Bo's eyes start to sting again. Swamp Girl offers to go to the bayou to get help, but Bo begs her to stay there with him. She says she will try the herbal remedy one more time, but then she is going to get help. When she returns, Bo notices he is starting to see shadows again, although he can't quite make out her face. He tells her he can almost see again.
In Salem, Carrie is disgusted to hear that Austin is in the guesthouse with Sami. She dances with Roman, but when he gets an ISA call, he hands her over to Mike. While dancing with Mike, Carrie murmurs that it feels so right being in his arms. Mike is startled. Laura tries to convince Mike that he and Carrie belong together, but he tells her that Carrie is married to Austin and he won't do anything to interfere with that. Roman, meanwhile, learns from Shane that Stefano is aboard the Empress Express disguised as Rudolfo. He and John decide they have to call Hope as soon as possible to let her know.
Upstairs, Caroline comes into Will's room to read him a story. Lucas, in the closet, is frustrated that he can't get Will alone to spirit him out of the house. Kimberly comes in and together she and Caroline decide to get Will ready for the ceremony. They go into Sami's closet, where Lucas is hiding, but they don't see Lucas as they pull out Will's tuxedo. Finally, they leave and Lucas is able to get Will downstairs and into the car. But as they are preparing to leave, Will asks for his teddy. Lucas tries to distract him, but Will begs for his teddy and Lucas has to consider going back to the house for it.
In the guesthouse, Austin finally has to break it to Sami that he saw Franco cheating on her with Candy, the stripper. At first Sami refuses to believe it, but finally she realizes that Austin wouldn't lie to her and he wouldn't tell her unless he were sure. She breaks down and cries and Austin holds her to comfort her. Austin says she needs to decide if she still wants to marry Franco. Sami heads for the door and before she leaves, she turns to Austin and says, "I'm going to kill that bastard." Austin runs after her.
In the house, Kate tells Franco that she has been in touch with Agent Raskin and knows all about his fake green card and why he is marrying Sami. Franco tries to convince Kate that he really loves Sami, but Kate isn't buying it. Franco begs her to let him marry Sami and then he will dump her later, but Kate insists that he dump her at the altar so that Kate can enjoy maximum revenge. Franco says there is no way he will do that, and Kate tells him he has no choice. She also reveals Roberto's role in betraying Franco, and the fact that she knows Franco will be killed if he is deported. Franco flatly refuses to go along with her plan, knowing it will result in his death. Kate shrugs and gets on the phone and asks for Agent Raskin. Franco slides a poker out of the fireplace tools and raises it over his head to club Kate. She turns to him just in time to see him about to kill her. As she starts to scream, suddenly Franco is blasted by a gunshot in the chest. Kate screams and then turns to see who saved her life. She sees someone standing there and gasps, "Oh my god!"
