The Forresters are ready to welcome more friends from Genoa City to their Los Angeles home, as The Young and the Restless' Michael Damian (Danny Romalotti) and Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair Williams) join the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful for a brief stop on Danny's rock tour.
Back in May on Y&R, Danny and Christine decided to give love another try. Christine had ended her marriage to Paul Williams, and Danny finally told Phyllis there was no future for them as a couple. With nobody left standing in the way of their happiness, Christine joined her rock star ex-husband on his latest tour.
Later this summer, they will find themselves in Los Angeles and in receipt of a very special invitation from the Forrester clan. Damian and Bell taped their scenes on June 27, with Bell explaining that her brother, B&B head writer and executive producer Bradley Bell, came up with the idea when he heard Danny and Christine would be on tour.
"Of course, he would have a concert in L.A. and that's how the idea came about," Bell told US Weekly, adding, "We're all so excited about this. Six months ago there was a rumor of me coming to B&B and I was like, 'If I am no one has told me!' This is such a perfect reason."
In the story, the Forresters invite Danny and Christine to Eric's mansion to discuss a business proposition about the relaunch of the Brooke's Bedroom lingerie line. Music even comes into play, as Danny gives the Forresters an impromptu performance.
"What's great is we're coming to L.A. just as our personalities back in the day, smiling and goofing along and being together," Bell said. "When you're in a deep storyline, there's tears and drama and now we are at our happiest."
The special crossover episodes of B&B are set to air on Tuesday, August 13, and Wednesday, August 14.
