Hello, my fellow The Bold and the Beautiful junkies. My name is Tracy B. Lovell. I have the great honor of writing a guest column for soapcentral.com. I've been a die-hard fan of B&B since its debut in 1987. The following column is just a quick overview of the show for the week from my point of view. Happy reading.

The fireworks began at Brooke's birthday party. Taylor, psychiatrist turned detective, exposed Brooke and Bill's affair. Taylor claimed that she was Katie's friend and that she was only looking out for Katie's best interests. Come on, Taylor, Katie is a heart transplant patient. She has already had two heart attacks, which happened to be caused by her husband's trickery. Do you really think that exposing the affair at that particular moment was necessary? I don't think so.

Heather Tom (Katie) has proven why she is the only person in daytime history to win an Emmy in all three acting categories -- Younger, Supporting, and Lead Actress. Her portrayal of a wife/sister scorned literally sent chills down my spine. I found myself clapping and cheering her on as she ripped into her husband and sister. When Bill tried to justify his affair by blaming Katie for orchestrating the trip to Aspen, I wanted to scream. Really, Bill? Your wife had postpartum depression. Clearly she was not well. Any loving husband would know that.

Katie's response to Bill's statement was epic. I'd like to call it "the slap heard and felt around the world." That slap made my palm hurt. I screamed with delight and got a little misty-eyed when she broke precious photographs of the life that she shared with Bill and her loyal sister. Bill was still trying to shift blame on Katie, claiming that the affair stopped once he put her rings back on her finger. "You're not married to a ring, you're married to me," Katie fired back. Bravo, Heather! Keep the drama coming. I can't wait to see what happens next.

When Katie told Bill to get out, I stood up and gave her a standing ovation. Bravo, Katie! Show Dollar Bill that you're not a doormat. Hold on, folks. It gets better. As Bill walked to the door, he turned and asked Brooke if she was going with him.

What? Seriously? This man has got a lot of nerve. Katie needs to cue up Blue Cantrell's "Hit 'Em Style" on her iPod. Get half of everything. Get even.

Brooke and Katie's showdown was fantastic. When Katie told Brooke that she will hold on to her rings to make sure they don't wind up on Brooke's finger, I busted out laughing. I really believe that Brooke and Bill feel they didn't do anything wrong. Yes, Katie tried to push them together, but that was during her postpartum phase. She wasn't thinking clearly.

I have three sisters. If I told my sister to look out for or take care of my husband, I would expect her to look after him, not get in bed with him. Brooke should've known better. She already has a horrible track record when it comes to sleeping with a relative's significant other. I'm really disappointed that the writers took Brooke down that road again. It's going to be really hard for her to redeem herself after this debacle.

Everyone had to throw their two cents in on the festivities at Brooke's birthday party. Marcus thought that his Aunt Brooke would be cleaning out her office at Forrester. Gee, Marcus, I don't recall anyone cleaning out your cubby when you were texting and driving and hit someone with your car. I like the fact that Hope seemed to side with her Aunt Katie. Rick stood by his mom's side. Rick then reminded the peanut gallery that families stick together, no matter what. Hope just looked at her brother, disgusted. I'm with you on this one, Hope.

This week was also Hunter Tylo's last appearance as Taylor Hayes. She has played the part of Taylor off and on for about 23 years. When I found out that Taylor would be the one to expose the affair, I thought it was a brilliant move. Taylor and Brooke would have a good old-fashioned catfight like back in the glory days. To my surprise, Taylor had her last scene with Eric. He was shocked that Taylor's hate for Brooke made her forget about all of her morals and ethics.

He confronted Taylor about her criminal behavior, and she simply said, "I've despised the way Brooke has shed her big crocodile tears over damage that she's caused. Don't expect that from me. This is not the same." Exit stage left. I really thought that her exit was weak. With all the drama unfolding around Katie, Bill, and Brooke, this would've been an epic Brooke and Taylor (Braylor) showdown.

The writers dropped the ball on this one. I think they should've had Taylor stick with what she does best: eavesdropping. Everyone knows that she's the queen of cocking her ear against doors or lurking behind ajar doors, listening in on conversations. Why have Taylor stoop to criminal behavior just to expose Brooke?

Liam, a.k.a. thr Scarecrow (from The Wizard of Oz) of B&B, tried to have a heart-to-heart with his dad about Bill's infidelity, but Bill quickly turned the conversation to the topic of Liam's marriage to Steffy. Bill wanted Liam to fly to Paris and demand answers. Liam called Steffy to try to get through to her, but she was not hearing it. She was too distraught over the loss of their child and insisted he should move on with Hope. Since Liam doesn't seem to have a mind of his own, it looks like he plans on trying to get back with Hope.

Liam, maybe you should listen to your father. You did choose to marry Steffy. You supposedly love her. Why not take the Spencer jet, fly to Paris, and find out exactly why your biker wife dropped you like a hot plate. It's kind of sad that your own father has to convince you to do so. This character really kills me. One day, he says he didn't marry Steffy because of the baby, the next day he claims he did. Well, which is it?

It was refreshing to see Hope come to her senses and not throw herself at Liam. She deserves to be with a man whose heart belongs to her. Hey, Hope, here's a little advice. You're in your early 20s. You should be out having a good time, clubbing with friends, not planning weddings and chasing after emotionally and physically unavailable men. Time to move it along! Enter Wyatt.

I like Wyatt already! I love the chemistry that he and Hope share. (Cue the fireworks.) When Liam saw Hope actually having a good time with someone else, his reaction was priceless. He looked confused. Yes, Liam. The world does not revolve around you. Hope looked like a deer in the headlights when she saw the Spencer sword hanging from Wyatt's neck. I can't wait to see exactly who Wyatt is and how he fits into the Spencer family. Could he be Liam's brother from another mother? Or maybe Bill Sr. had a girlfriend no one knew about and Wyatt is Bill's brother?

Caroline was having a lot of sips of hateorade this week. Thanks to the blonde bombshell's editing skills, Maya is starting to see the jealous side of Rick. Apparently, Rick has a problem with some of the criteria of Maya's job, which entails making out with Carter. (Maya, girl, if you want to quit, I'd be happy to be your replacement.)

My question is why would Rick get upset? Maya is doing her job. Maybe Maya should take a step back and really get to know Rick. I mean, they just met. They've spit out the "love" word, yet Rick doesn't even know Maya's birthday or favorite color. Another thing that annoys me is the fact that Carter is all kinds of hot, and these girls aren't fighting over him. Instead, they're hung up on Rick. Really?

The events that took place at Brooke's birthday party reminded me of B&B at its best. The lies, deceit, slaps -- everything was just phenomenal. I thought with Taylor gone, Brooke wouldn't have an adversary. I guess we're going to see the Logan sisters go to war. This feud looks like it might be up in the rankings with Brooke/Stephanie (Brephanie). I can't wait to see how the rest of this story unfolds.
