Peter Simon rejoined the cast of Guiding Light as Ed Bauer in May 2002 after a six-year absence. Simon began his career studying at the Exeter Academy and graduating from Williams College in Williamstown, MA. After graduation, Simon joined a professional repertory theater company at Purdue University.
After spending a season at the Barn Theater in Michigan, Simon moved back to New York where he appeared in numerous theater productions. In addition to his theater work, he made a name for himself on daytime television having appeared in Search for Tomorrow, As the World Turns, and Guiding Light.
Simon resides in New York City with his wife, Courtney Sherman, who worked as a script editor for As the World Turns and a writer for Santa Barbara. The couple, who have five children between them, reside in New York. In addition to acting, Simon is also a playwright.
