Beth Chamberlin rejoined the cast of Guiding Light on November 1, 1997 in the role of too-good-to-be-true Beth Raines, which she previously portrayed from September 1989 to February 1991.
During her hiatus from Guiding Light, Beth starred in the films The Right Way and Best Shots. She appeared on television in Columbo, Silk Stalkings, and Days of our Lives, and has also been featured in the film The Big Picture.
Before enrolling in New York University as a dance/theater major, Beth studied ballet with the American Ballet Theater. On stage, she has appeared in regional productions of The Taming of the Shrew, Godspell, The Effect of Gamma Rays, Flowers for Algernon, and You Can't Take it with You. In addition, she has numerous national commercials to her credit.
Beth and her husband, Peter Roy, a chiropractor, were married in July 1994. The couple lives in New York with their two cats, Smally and Dooza. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, antiquing and giving ski instructions with her husband. Beth's birthday is October 1.
