The Young and the Restless' Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) was rushed in to emergency surgery today due to an unexpected setback in what seemed to be a smooth recovery from a broken elbow.
"Emergency surgery scheduled for today," the actor tweeted on the latest of his condition -- an injury that happened when he broke his arm filming scenes for the CBS soap back in September. "My body is rejecting the metal in my elbow and I have to get it out ASAP."
Here's hoping the Australian native recovers quickly and smoothly!
UPDATE (November 27):
Goddard took to social media following his impromptu surgery with a new photo and a message for fans. "Surgery was a success! Metal is out of my arm & the infection is under control. But... I'm back in the cast! [Love] U."
