Congratulations are in order for The Bold and the Beautiful's Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) and The Young and the Restless' Sharon Case (Sharon Newman), who took home top honors at this year's Soap Awards France. Clifton was named Best International Actor, while Case was named Best International Actress.
Organized and hosted by Toutelatele.com, a French television news website, the awards were based on online voting by viewers from France and all over the world.
Case filmed a video on set at Y&R (which is called Les Feux de L'Amour in France) to thank her international fans for recognizing her work for the second year in a row. "Hello to all the French fans, all the fans who have been watching Y&R for many years, and even the news ones," she enthuses. "I want to thank you so much for your viewership, and thank you, thank you for voting for me again for this amazing award. We at Y&R are so thankful for your viewership and your love and support."
Case also posted a video on Twitter to thank fans for recognizing her work. "Bonjour! I have just received this beautiful award from Soap Awards France," she shared. "I've won Best Actress 2021 a second year in a row, and I can't thank you enough. I heard over 350,000 of you voted. That is amazing. I'm so happy to hear that you're enjoying Les Feux de L'Amour and Sharon Newman."

Clifton also made a thank you video, which was filmed on the set of B&B (which is called Amour, gloire et Beauté / Top Models in France).
"Wow, this is so unexpected. Clearly, as you can see, I didn't prepare anything to say!" Clifton shares in his acceptance speech. "This means a lot to me, specifically because this is not other actors voting for people in my industry, this is the people that are watching, and that's who we do this for, and that's why this means something to us. So, thank you so much. To know that there are people all over the world for whom our work means something, that's just a lot. I'm going to cherish this. And thank you to [B&B executive producer and head writer] Brad Bell for writing the stuff that I say that earned me this and especially to my wife for being the most stoic victim of my constant need to run lines. So, thank you. I'll cherish this. Thank you very much."
Episodes of Y&R currently airing in France are from 2019, and episodes of B&B currently airing in France are about one year behind the U.S. Both are dubbed in French.
