Daytime stars are in the unique position of being handed dozens -- sometimes even hundreds -- of major storylines in their careers. It's not always easy to pick a favorite (whether you're a fan or the person playing the storylines!), but it is pretty easy to name which story moments created the most gratitude. So, while the turkey is being stuffed, the pumpkin pie is baking up nicely in the oven, and we're all thinking about the many blessings in our lives, check out some soap opera storylines that daytime stars say they're most thankful to have been given.
"I think the 'Oscar [Garren Stitt] dying of a brain tumor' story was an incredible opportunity for me to grow as an actor, plus it gave me the opportunity to share so many powerful moments on-screen with actors I hadn't worked with before, like Wally [Kurth, Ned Quartermaine] and Tamara [Braun, ex-Kim Nero], to name a couple. I'm equally thankful to have portrayed young Caroline Corinthos in the Young Carly episode! It was a dream to do a deep dive into my amazing TV mom's motivation and history, and I will always cherish the scenes I got to share with Cynthia Watros [Nina Reeves] and James Patrick Stewart [Valentin Cassadine]."
"Although strange to say, I'm thankful for the substance abuse storyline of Brady's. It gave him tremendous color and depth as a character, and it's a welcomed challenge for an actor to contend with."

"I'm very thankful for them all so far but if I had to pick one, I'd say the 'pretend daughter to Nina' storyline, because it was my very first storyline in soaps, so it'll always be special to me. I felt very thankful to be trusted with such a complex and challenging storyline right from the start, and I learned so much from it. I had a lot of fun working with both Michelle Stafford and Cynthia Watros [Nina Reeves] on that storyline."

"I think I was very, very grateful for any scenes that I got to do with Tim Allen [on Last Man Standing] that told the story of their father and daughter relationship. I think it's so special, because everybody has a different kind of relationship with their father, so it was really important to me to be able to play those moments. Not to mention, when I joined that show, being able to play Tim Allen's daughter was really mind-blowing to me, because I grew up watching him. So, I was also grateful to just learn from one of the greats and to also explore that TV relationship. So, that's what I'm most grateful for."
