Laura Wright has a message for anyone who's heard the rumor that she's leaving her role as General Hospital character Carly Corinthos: it's simply not true.
The actress clarified her status with the ABC soap opera on Twitter, in response to a fan who asked if she was leaving GH. "Nope. People love to start rumors," Wright stated.

The actress' clarification about that rumor comes hot on the heels of another regarding her working relationship with Roger Howarth (Austin Gatlin-Holt; ex-Franco Baldwin; ex-Todd Manning), with whom she's worked for decades on both GH and Loving, where they played Kent Winslow and Ally Rescott in the early 90s.
During a heated Twitter discussion between GH viewers, some fans speculated that Wright didn't get along with Howarth. The actress stepped in to set the record straight with a response (which has since been deleted) that read, "This is a horrible LIE. I LOVED working with Roger!!! Carly and Todd were a fav of mine!! Stop spreading lies."
Fortunately, there's a lot of fun and positive social media activity on Wright's accounts that helps balance out the negativity that some people dish out. For instance, a lot of fans are sharing nostalgic throwback clips from the actress' early days in Port Charles, while Guiding Light icon Kim Zimmer (ex-Reva Shayne) shared that she recently enjoyed a great game of pickleball with Wright and Laura's current on-screen nemesis, Cynthia Watros (Nina Reeves; ex-Annie Dutton, GL) -- the latter of which proves that even though Wright and Watros aren't getting along as their GH alter egos, they're good friends in real life (in case anyone was wondering)!
