After months of having to keep completely quiet about her latest daytime venture, soap star Ashley Jones (ex-Bridget Forrester) is happy the cat is finally out of the bag: she has joined General Hospital in the role of professor Parker Forsyth, the seemingly shady character who's been blackmailing Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth).
"They were so secretive about it, that I've been afraid to tell anyone!" the actress told Soap Opera Digest of the long-going mystery of whether Parker was a man or a woman. "They made it very clear that (Parker's gender) was a reveal and they didn't want me to give it away."
Jones, who's played B&B's Bridget on-again, off-again since 2004, has shot two episodes of the ABC soap, which she says she has watched for years. "It's just a pleasure to see all these people on set and in and out of the makeup room," she relates, adding that she was thrilled to run into her former on-screen uncle, William deVry (Julian Jerome, GH; ex-Storm Logan, B&B). "It made me chuckle to myself about how small the soap world is."
In addition to B&B, Jones has had roles on True Blood, 90210, and various crime shows like The Mentalist, Bones, and CSI: Cyber.
