Days of our Lives really went out on a limb with its recent storyline in which Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) pretended to be Nicole (Arianne Zucker) in order to win back Brady (Eric Martsolf). But maybe the more appropriate thing to say is that the soap went out on a fake face. As viewers of the NBC drama know, Kristen wore a mask that looked exactly like Nicole's face in order to pull off her trickery. And Zucker is sharing a little bit about what went behind the literal faceoff.
The actress took to social media with photos of the process that was taken to make a mask of her face. "Well, now that everyone in Salem finally knows the truth about Kristen/Nicole #StariEyes here's how it started!" she captioned the photos. "Thanks to the brilliant @stevelaporte_facemaker That's me FYI!"
DAYS viewers have spent the summer betting on which character would be the big face-swapping mystery solver, and it turned out that John (Drake Hogestyn) was the one to figure out that Nicole was really Kristen this whole time. Of course, the Salemite didn't work alone -- he had a little help from Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), so anyone who bet on either of those capable chicks is a winner, too.
Speaking of winners, Stacy Haiduk won the hearts of fans with her performances during the soap's zany face mask storyline. She responded to Zucker's mask pics with the admission that now that the story is over, she's going to miss it.
"Looking good!!! I remember the feeling!!!," she wrote about the mask-making process, adding: "Oh! No!! Do I have to give up the mask now?! I think I might go through Nicole withdrawals!!!!"
Which begs the question: Will DAYS fans also go through Nicole withdrawals, or will the powers that be find a way to keep Zucker on the canvas now that the mask mystery has come to a close? One would think that the actress is gone for good, considering the real Nicole is still presumed by many to be dead. But as fans of DAYS have found, you can't always take Salem-related things at face value!
