Days of our Lives' Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami Brady) hasn't had the smoothest of winters. Just before Christmas, the fan favorite actress revealed she had torn her ACL and was forbidden from hitting the ski slopes as she had planned. And now she's in physical therapy to help her recover from surgery she recently underwent to heal the injury.
Sweeney posted a colorful picture of flowers and cupcakes to her Instagram account along with the caption, "Wow! So many beautiful recovery gifts! So grateful for the warm wishes. I had successful ACL replacement surgery and am already getting down to PT! The flowers are gorgeous & the @georgetowncupcakes are great motivators!!! [Love] and thanks to everyone for your [prayers] and well wishes."
As Soap Central previously reported, Sweeney's ACL injury didn't break her strong spirit or motivation to work. In fact, she used the downtime to put some finishing touches on her next Murder She Baked film, Just Desserts, which also stars All My Children alum Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery) and premieres Sunday, March 26.
