Days of our Lives' Kate Mansi (Abigail Deveraux) suffered a small health scare this weekend, alerting fans via her social media sites that she unfortunately had to miss work due to emergency minor surgery.
The actress, who was scheduled to appear in the play If All the Sky Were Paper, tweeted, "So sad to say I won't be performing #skypaper this wknd due to minor emergency surgery. Sorry to those who bought tkts. Thanks for all the well wishes! I'm gonna be back in action in no time hopefully XXOO."
Mansi later followed up her message with an Instagram picture showing an array of flowers sent to her by fans. "The silver lining," she wrote as the caption for the photo. "So touched by all the well wishes, thank you sweet friends. XO."
At this time, there's no word on whether or not the actress' health situation will affect her DAYS role.
UPDATE (March 19):
Mansi had emergency laproscopic surgery for internal bleeding. She is recuperating at her family's house.
