The soap world still can't get over the super surprise return of The Bold and the Beautiful's Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter), and while rumors that she'll be returning to The Young and the Restless as her villainous character in an upcoming crossover storyline have yet to be confirmed or denied, Genoa City fans will likely be happy to hear about another project she's been working on.
According to Daytime Confidential, the fan-favorite actress recently filmed an appearance on The Rich & The Ruthless, the upcoming soap-themed comedy directed and executive produced by GC diva Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Winters, Y&R).
Details on Brown's role are being kept under wraps at this time, but the series -- based on Rowell's novel that was formerly called The Young and the Ruthless -- centers around feisty soap siren Calysta Jeffries and legendary businessman and producer Augustus Barringer (Richard Brooks); the two are left reeling when their long-running soap opera is evicted from its Hollywood soundstage after 20 years. Barringer's regal and jealous wife Kitty (Rowell), a retired soap opera actress determined to reclaim the spotlight, and Edith Norman (Brenda Epperson, ex-Ashley Abbott, Y&R), a scheming network executive, also play big parts in the story.
The Rich & The Ruthless, co-written by DC's Jamey Giddens, is scheduled to debut later this year.
