CBS Daytime announced the very exciting news that its entire lineup has been renewed, with The Bold and the Beautiful being scheduled for two more years and The Young and the Restless being scheduled for a whopping three more years. But Angelica McDaniel, executive vice president at CBS Daytime, hasn't forgotten classic CBS soaps Guiding Light and As the World Turns.
Just recently, the exec gathered stars from the landmark series together for a celebratory class photo, and TV Insider has posted the exclusive first snap.
The glamorous photo includes, from left to right: ATWT's Martha Byrne (Lily); GL's Robert Newman (Josh), Beth Chamberlin (Beth), Rick Hearst (Alan-Michael), and Crystal Chappell (Olivia); ATWT's Tamara Tunie (Jessica) and Ellen Dolan (Margo, also GL's Maureen); GL's Vincent Irizarry (Lujack/Nick) and Krista Tesreau (Mindy); ATWT's Colleen Zenk (Barbara); and GL's Michael O'Leary (Rick).
GL and ATWT may never air again, but at least the two surviving CBS Daytime soaps are gunning to be their best.
Teases McDaniel's of the months ahead: "All of our talent, on-screen and behind the scenes, is hard at work making the upcoming season of these award-winning series even bigger and bolder."
