Some of daytime's most beloved stars are inviting you to join them at this year's Lip Sync For A Cure, where they'll be performing to benefit the American Cancer Society Desert Spirit.
Jonathan Bennett (ex-J.R. Chandler, All My Children) and Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio, General Hospital; ex-Colin Atkinson, The Young and the Restless) will jointly emcee the event, which will feature entertaining lip-syncing performances and judging by actors such as Eva La Rue (ex-Maria Santos), Patrika Darbo (Nancy Wesley, Days of our Lives; ex-Sally Spectra, The Bold and the Beautiful), Judith Chapman (Gloria Fisher, Y&R; ex-Anjelica Deveraux, DAYS), Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller, GH), Sean Kanan (Deacon Sharpe, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-A.J. Quartermaine, GH), and more!
According to an official press release, this year's Lip Sync For A Cure fundraiser will be dedicated in memoriam to the late John Callahan (Edmund Grey, AMC; Dr. Baker, DAYS; Craig Hunt, Santa Barbara; Eric Stavros, Falcon Crest), who "was always ready and willing to give his time and support to this event throughout the years. His energy, talent, and heart of gold is painfully missed."
This year's event is being held on Friday, May 20, at the Cultural Center in Palm Springs, California. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
Lip Sync For a Cure was born in 2017, when the American Cancer Society Desert Spirit Committee based in Palm Springs, California, wanted a fun, exciting, non-gala event to raise funds for cancer research and patient services. With the support of celebrities, mostly from the soap opera community, the inaugural event was a smashing success.
