Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee Smythe) and her husband, Michael Benson, are the proud parents of a new baby girl named Charlotte Jo Benson. This is the couple's first child.
"Mom and daughter are doing great," Benson announced on Instagram with a photo of Budig and their bundle of joy. Budig announced her pregnancy in April during a broadcast of her daily lifestyle show, The Better Show. "Well, you, know... I am five months pregnant today. I feel good," Budig said. "I'm a lot more nervous than I thought I'd be!"
Budig later shared on Twitter that she and her husband would not be finding out the sex of the baby in advance.
Budig joined All My Children in 1999 after a three-year run as Michelle Bauer on CBS's Guiding Light. Budig remained with AMC off and on through the show's final episode on ABC in September 2011. Budig has twice earned Outstanding Supporting Actress nominations at the Daytime Emmys.
